DECENTRIQ WINS THE 2024 PIONIERPREIS
In the fall of 2023, forty-five deep-tech start-ups applied for the innovation prize, which has been awarded annually by Zürcher Kantonalbank and the Technopark Zurich Foundation since 2001. Three finalists took to the stage at the award ceremony on May 7, 2024, at Technopark. Decentriq impressed the jury with its concept of a “clean room for data”. The Zurich-based company receives the prize money of CHF 100,000 while fellow runner-ups Avelo and Stimit will each receive CHF 10,000.
Corine Mauch (Mayor of the city of Zurich) opened the award ceremony with an impressive speech on Switzerland as a center of technology and business followed by the two robotics luminaries Roland Siegwart and Marco Hutter (both ETH Zurich). They thrilled the crowd of around 350 guests with their keynote speech “AI in motion” – a motorized demonstration of the interplay between artificial intelligence and robot development.
The attendees of the award ceremony could vote for an audience award for the first time. Competing were the three finalists and 4 other nominees (4QT, 8inks, Flybotix und Limula) that were present with booths in the networking zone. The audience decided in favour of 4QT.
